Baffin Current[edit | edit source]

Southward flowing current on the eastern side of Baffin Bay with speeds of 0.2– 0.4 m s-1.

It is fed by low-salinity water from the Arctic Ocean, thus contributing to the freshwater budget between the Pacific and Atlantic, and by the West Greenland Current. It feeds the Labrador Current.
