energy density spectrum

(Sometimes called energy spectrum.) The square of the amplitude of the (complex) Fourier transform of an aperiodic function.

Thus, if f(t) is the given function, its Fourier transform is
ams2001glos-Ee21
and the energy density spectrum is
ams2001glos-Eex03
. It is assumed that the total energy
ams2001glos-Eex04
is finite.
