moisture
(Or moisture content.) In meteorology, a general term usually referring to the water vapor content of the atmosphere, or to the total water substance (gaseous, liquid, and solid) present in a given volume of air.
In climatology, moisture refers more specifically to quantities of precipitation or to precipitation effectiveness.
