thermal vorticity

The vorticity of the thermal wind, defined by analogy with the geostrophic vorticity,
where ζT is the thermal vorticity, g the acceleration of gravity, f the Coriolis parameter, ∇p the del operator in the isobaric surface, and h the thickness of a layer bounded by two isobaric surfaces.
