anticyclolysis

Any weakening of anticyclonic circulation in the atmosphere; the opposite of anticyclogenesis.

Anticyclolysis (which refers to the circulation) should be distinguished from deepening (which refers to the atmospheric pressure), although the two processes usually occur together.
Compare cyclolysis.
